The Ridge Players

This past Saturday (9/22/18), seventeen members of PRHS Thespian troupe 7821 participated in Disney’s Acting101 Workshop. The 90-minute workshop provided the students with the building blocks of theater, while exploring performance and storytelling techniques. The students played fun theater games that each included a focus goal (listening, working with others, watching for cues, etc.). They learned how to create a character from the feet up, physically becoming that character. The Disney teaching artists helped the students understand that it’s OK to be vulnerable with each other. The students committed to their characters and gained confidence in themselves. After the workshop ended, we spent the day at Hollywood Studios and enjoyed the rides and games.
